Day 18.
- Happy birthday Halfwit! Big Brother is combining his birthday with the summer solstice into one big hippy celebration. The first task is to create a ‘free-form performance’ led by Halfwit. He is euphoric with excitement, but I have a feeling most of the other housemates won’t be so enthusiastic to be led by him. The final performance is, um, interesting.
- Marcus and Sree have a “conversation” about how harsh Marcus is with him during tasks. (Inverted commas because, well, it’s Sree.) Favourite line: ‘I’m not running away’ as he walks out the door. Marcus follows Sree into the living room, hungry for more, where it quickly turns into an argument about how Marcus disrespects the women in the house, fuelled by Karly. Marcus insists Sree is the sleazebag. I find it annoying when two people I dislike argue because I don’t want to take either side. In any case, they’re both at fault here in my opinion.
- Sree contemplates leaving the house. What was that you said about not running away, again?
- Next task: Halfwit must hold a 15 minute seminar about the life and times of Halfwit the first. Brilliant, just gold.
- Final task: each housemate must write an ode to Halfwit. This just keeps getting better and better. Angel’s is very sweet, Charlie’s is just plain cute and Lisa’s is surprisingly clever.
- Dogface is still unsure as to whether Kris’ feelings for her are genuine or for the cameras. Considering both of them repeatedly have the same doubts, I’m going to say it’s (at least somewhat) real. I hope it is; it just wouldn’t be Big Brother without two of the most attractive housemates getting together.
- An assortment of housemates are in the backyard playing dare. Halfwit and Angel are dared to kiss for at least ten seconds. Love Angel’s ‘next?’ the moment they break apart.
- I think Sree is trying to mess with Charlie, and it’s weird. I think he’s just drunk.
